A document issued by DENR-EMB that certifies a project will not cause significant negative environmental impact, and complies with the Philippine EIS System. Penalty for non-compliance Php 50,000.00

sep clearance

A special environmental clearance required only in Palawan, issued under the Strategic Environmental Plan (SEP) Law by the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development. Penalty for non-compliance Php 100,000 - 200,000.00

pamb clearance

Authorization granted by the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) for projects located within or near protected areas. It confirms that the activity is allowed under the area’s management plan.

ecan zoning

A land use classification system that identifies what types of development are allowed in specific zones. Core Zones are strictly protected areas where no construction allowed. Projects must check if they fall within buildable or restricted zones.

Issued by the DENR-EMB, this permit allows the legal discharge of wastewater, provided it meets environmental standards. It confirms that the project will not cause significant harm to water bodies.

every five years

A regulatory permit issued by DENR-EMB under the Clean Air Act (RA 8749) for facilities with air pollution sources and control systems (e.g., generators, boilers). It is required before operating any air emission equipment.

no expiry

Issued by DENR-EMB, this ID is required for any facility that generates hazardous waste. It enables lawful transport, storage, treatment, or disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with RA 6969.

every three years

Pollution Control Officer (PCO) Accreditation is mandatory for facilities with environmental permits. The PCO ensures compliance with environmental laws and submits regular reports to DENR-EMB.
